Coastal Ecology - This is an interesting website in progress. It is excerpts
from the California Coastal Resource Guide. If you select plants or trees, the
first page has bottom links to coastal ecology sections that are informative
and would be helpful for project or investigative research papers.

Fire
management photo gallery - This site has lots of information for teachers
and students. If you look under the science menu, there are pages of information
on ecosystems in Pt. Reyes. There are also photo galleries including Mt. Vision
fire photos.

Point Reyes Bird Observatory
home site - The bird and ecosystem research website for Pt. Reyes. They
are also tied to the eBird website.
Database of native plants - This is an
extensive photo field guide. Don't be afraid to play with it. Should be helpful
to identify trees, plants, and flowers on the hike.
ebird - Lots of information and help
identifying California's native birds. Also, a place to report bird observations
that assists its research and volunteer opportunities available.
