THIS DAY IN HISTORY

On this day in 1839, the initials "O.K." are first published in The Boston Morning Post.  Meant as an abbreviation for "oll correct," a popular slang misspelling of "all correct" at the time, OK steadily made its way into the everyday speech of Americans.

Attention Student Athletes: Athletic Tutoring will be back in action after mid-winter break. We will be meeting on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-7:15 in Room 261. New and returning students are welcome! ~ R. Lahargoue

Peer Tutoring and Homework Club- Peer Tutoring and Homework Club are well under way with a full library after school. If you need a tutor please pick up and fill out the purple tutor request form found on the front table in counseling. I will only be pairing student through this reporting period. While students are waiting to be paired they are welcome to come to the homework club to get tutoring assistance. These programs meet Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30 to 4:45 in the library.

Peer Tutors Wanted- Thank you to all of the students who have come forward recently to tutor. It is a great way to earn service hours for the honor society! It is a great way to give back that requires as little as an hour and fifteen minutes a week. Students who tutor also review concepts that will be on the college entrance exams. This program is a win-win for students.

** Currently I am still looking for Geometry tutors, but I also need tutors for Physics, Pre Calc and Honors Advanced Algebra. If you did well or are currently doing well in these subjects.....come see me in counseling. ~Katie Paulsen

Please don't litter on campus and when walking in the community to and from school.  Let's keep up the great image Redwood has in our community.
